I'm quite confused by the various model numbers used to designate Acer notebooks (for that matter, most notebook companies use cryptic numbers for their various model lines).

I'm looking for a 15.4" model with the 256 MB version of the ATI x700 GPU. I know some of the Ferrari models have it but I've seen it in non-Ferrari lines as well. I'm looking for something around $1700 (which puts the Ferrari out of reach). Also, any recommendations on where to buy would be helpful. Thanks.
