i have a x1200 that i need to remove the hard drive from, i have the case open and can see it sitting below the dvd drive. will i have to remove the dvd drive and other things to get at the hard drive or is there a simpler way i don't see. Any help or direction for disassembly welcome.

look to the corner of the optical drive, there is a little metal tab that has one screw going into the power supply. remove that.

then pop off the front bezel, and the optical drive and hard drive will come out as one.
