I have noticed that people seem to have trouble with upgrading / changing their Acer notebooks. They seem to be against changing the CPU or the addition of a bluetooth card, both times saying that the warranty would be voided if someone did such a thing.

I have also found that they will not allow people to swap the keyboards without it being done (at great expense) by an Acer engineer!

With my current Toshiba laptop I can swap the CPU and add addin cards without voiding the warranty. As I will no doubt want to update the machine in the future is Acer really the manufacturer for me?
