Just wondering if the CPU on this laptop is upgradable?

It is, but only to another Turion ML. Doing so voids your warranty.

Does adding RAM void the warranty too? Is there a big processing difference between the 4002(1.6Ghz) and 4005(?) model? I'm trying to figure out which to get; the 4002 or the 4005. There's a big difference in price :(

Even if you buy 4002, and want to upgrade later, this will not be easy, also possible as I read in some forums, I read that someone did upgrade his CPU, which invovled total dis-assembly of his lapi, and then the computer became not stable, he sent it back to acer, and PAID because it's not warrentied after that.

Well, the ML-30 isn't the most powerful computer out there, that is for sure. It is about as powerful as a 1.6GHz Pentium M.

You can upgrade the RAM and that doesn't void your warranty, same with the hard drive. ;)

You get a bigger performance boost upgrading the hard drive to a faster one than upgrading the CPU. Notebook hard drives are the weak link.
