    Hello all,

Can ANYONE tell me how to get my wireless indicator on the front of the notebook to stop blinking, so my wireless can start working again?

    Thanks!!!

Wait....what? I thought blinking of the indicator indicated that your wireless card was sending traffic.

Could you be a bit more descriptive of what the problem is?

In XP the light blinks/flashes when there is a problem with the internet connection. I guess this was just one of those crazy things, as I called the Acer Support Desk and they could not help, told me to do recovery (losing all my data & programs) or send it in for repair (a whopping $400). I uninstalled, and reinstalled my linksys, and things are fine. And the orange wireless indicator light, is now a CONSTANT orange, NO blinking.

    Thanks~~~

Although I am confused as to what you did to fix it, I am glad you did fix it. I do think that you are misinterpreting the meaning of the flashing of your wireless indicator. The orange wireless indicator flashing does not indicate a problem. Flashing occurs because the wireless adapter is sending out traffic, i.e. you're uploading something or your adapter is attempting to find/connect to a wireless access point. The light turns constant once a stable connection is established because the adapter sits and receives data, blinking only when it is sending data.

Huh, maybe it functions differently on the Aspires then? That's how my orange wireless indicator behaves on my TM8204.
