Has someone managed to add HDD to Aspire 7. There is an empty place for a HDD in my A715-71G-54PN, but there seems to be no connector.

I'm experiencing the same trouble here. There definitely is an extra bay for a secondary hard drive to be added, I tested with a dummy drive which fit snugly in the bay. Perhaps some cable can be added to an extra connector on the MB? I don't dare to open it up though, because of warranties. I know from Acer's website that this laptop can be purchased with both the SSD and an extra 1TB hard drive, so somehow this should be possible.

    I found the answer.
There is in fact a connector on the MB and I purchased a connector cable from Acer's spare parts sales.

I am in the same situation. Could you please provide a link to the cable in Acer spare parts? I have looked but cannot find it. Thanks!

I found an email for spare parts sale on acer website, but it's different for each country. You could try to find the email from the website or ask acer support.
