Can any of you help me on my installation of an internal bluetooth adapter (I bought off of ebay) in my Aspire 6930? What exactly do I have to remove to get to where I install it? Where do I install it? Thanks.

What kind of card is it?

Here it is:

An eBay auction I found appears to have some pictures..
-
Now that you've seen it, can you tell where I should plug it in? I've got most of the computer disassembled, but can't find where to plug in the black plug.
-
Did you have a look at the pictures under the line 'Please check if your type has bluetooth socket. For example:' in the eBay auction I posted?
Acer service manuals are hard to come by because of copyright issues.. -
-
Now that I know where to connect it, how the crap do I take my keyboard and touchpad off? Its loose, but won't lift off.
-
I have a bluetooth card and service manuel explaining how to dismount LCD and keyboard but imo its too difficult and risky to get there. Did u mount your card successfuly ? Im angry with ACER to placing it there, its as if done intentionally to get the laptops to services.

Now back to our regularly scheduled topic.
I would like to install Bluetooth also, but from you're saying is that Acer made the procedure more difficult than nessasary? Whats this, removing the LCD from the Keyboard? Why not just create a side port with a plug in.
It seems more practical just to get one of those tiny Bluetooth USB adapters like this one, the BT-2400p http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=15542
Its so small that it almost lays completely flat in the USB port, so that its barley noticeable. -
My 8930g came without bluetooth too. And seeing the 6930 is the 8930's little brother it might be the same.
I just bought an internal bluetooth module from ebay, thinking it should be fairly easy to install. But then the damn thing came without the cable. And now I hear the cable is almost 20 euro's from a spare part supplier. That's twice the price I paid. Guess I just try and fix one myself.
Also it seems nobody has any idea where and how to install it. I already looked in a part / service manual but only could find the part numbers there. Not the exact location.
Anyone?? -
We like to list a cable for 8930 for you

You should check this out:
http://www.filesavr.com/service-manual-acer-aspire-6930-6930g
It's the Aspire 6930 series service manual I found somewhere. It has detailed pics on how to open up the laptop. The Bluetooth module seems to be under the keyboard and it shouldn't be too difficult to add it...
Let me know if it works -
