Hi guys.
I have fooled around in the forum for a while but i did not found a comparison of these 2 models.
The issue is - in the next 3 days I need to buy a mobile that is: a)portable b) has sufficient battery life c) is cheap and d) has sufficient computing power to allow at least basic mutlitasking (have 2 or 3 tabs opened in firefox, running skype and antivirus, working with a complex xls sheet and ideally a music player in the background so netbook is out of the question)
I came with the 2 models bellow. The price and weight are the same, i am a bit bothered from the 11.6 inch screen (seems not really big enough for several hours of work) and i like the dedicated graphics of the 13.3 inch. Yet i like the fact that the smaller is with a touch screen as i do believe that this is the future.
What will be your advice?
Also I have not seen any reviews of the 1820 tablet OR the 3810 with discreet graphics (in case that there is any difference with the standard 3180TZ)
PP there is an option for inspiron 13z but i think it is a it uglier and although the processor is better the 200 eur price difference is not worthed.

What the... may I ask where you got the pricing for the 18020pz tablet? Did you find it in an online store somewhere (please link!)? The release date and pricing for 1820 was unknown for quite a while. There are only a few brief reviews on the web. Take a look at this thread
I'd go for 1820pz, simply because it is a tablet and can be used as an ebook and you can take notes on it. Intel GMA 4500MHD handles 1080p videos without a problem. I'm not sure the availability date would fit "in the next 3 days" though.
On other hand, that dedicated graphics makes my mouth water -
Oh now I realize my mistake.
The offer is available on http://www.aceronline.es and i think this is more or less the official shop of Acer in Spain.
i actually believe that the the price is accuratebut the guys have this ugly small letter notice "Este producto estará disponible a partir del día martes 01 diciembre, 2009." which i missed.
This is 1 week after my deadline
Well I will anyway go to their offline shop to speak with the seller face2face to see what is the situation . Pbviously I will have to go for the 3810TZ(G).
Again any comments on 3810s with a dedicated GPU ?
Advice needed 1820(tablet) vs 3810TZG (13.3 with ext video card)
