    Hi
i just bought a Acer Travelmate 3282WXMI, but i discover that there is one black dot on the LCD screen, i called Acer and them say only a LCD screen of 5 dead pixels and above can be exchange, but that little black dot is annoying me to the max, i tried the dead pixels programm UDPixel and run it for a day but to no valid. Is there any way i can do to fix it myself or how much will it cost to replace it? It is just too unfair, there they say ensure customer's satifactory and there they refuse to replace the faulty LCD... :(

Only way i've heard of to coax a dead pixel back into life is to rub the area gently *Gently*. Has worked in the past.

Most laptop manufacturers have the same policy on dead pixels i'm afraid, its not just Acer in this case. Unless the dead pixel is in the middle part of the screen, there is not much you can do.
