    Guess there is no news on north american pricing/release date on this product yet?

    hope the 805 pounds (excluding VAT) is close to what it will cost in canada($1600can)/us.

    Just hope it gets released now.. and sometime soon.

    You can see it on acer's website as well... I e-mailed and asked acer, and got the answer i was expecting.

    We can't give any information on what products might be available in which markets for the future.

    so who knows when... if ever! so iam keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath!

    that IS a nicely spec'd system. but u need to ask yourself, if the Nvidia and TV-in (analog) is worth it or if u need it. i know its SOO nice to have.

    but in canada u can get a 5672 for under 1700 including taxes. i got mine with the 3 year accident warranty and it still came out to 1700 after taxes! (i got hooked up of course..)

    having said that, i wouldnt mind a TV in. :p

    Yeah for me as well, I want something that i can play a next gen game on for the next 3 years.

    The 5672 is so nicely priced it is hard to pass up. I just cant justify 1000 extra dollars for a laptop with an x1600 (really pisses me off that I can get a MacBook Pro for 2100 Canadian and the equivalent windows versino for like 2500... ).

    I am bit worried about heat. Was also worried about build quality but a firend of mine just got an acer aspire 3000 series (dont rememebr the exact model) and I was very please when i was playing around with it.

    I have a large budget for a laptop, but if I can get a cheap one I am happy with it will be the way I want to go. The mortage payments are goign to start soon so I want to get my last few large purchases out of the way... hehe
