Is there any notebook model from Acer with switchable ATI/Intel GPU that has updated Intel drivers for Win 7 SP1? Acer still hasn't released any SP1 drivers for the Aspire TimeLineX 3/4/5820TG series and I have to use the modified "Hybrid" drivers posted on a German Acer forum. But this means I have to disable driver signature enforcement when booting Win 7.

I'm running win7 SP1 without any problem whatsoever. When looking into what the SP1 consists of in terms of changes I can't see any thing that would indicate a source for problem. Only thing I can see that remotely is a potential candidate is an updated HD stack, but that relates to some HDMI issues after reboot. Just becuase it's not supported by Acer doesn't mean it's not compatible. I would venture to say that those problems reported relates to the installationprocess of the servicepack itself. In my book its always better to stream in the service pack to a OS source and do afresh install.

I had problems with KB-2454826 (started a thread here in Feb) until I updated the Intel drivers to 8.15.10.2281. I assume KB-2454826 is included in SP1. I'll be doing a fresh install with a Win 7 Ultimate SP1 image from MSDN so the installation part is no problem, it's just that KB-2454826 and older versions of Intel drivers don't seem to be working together if you want to use the Windows Live package (Live Messenger in my case).
