In my case it is a real need. :)
I use the same model to play video games. I can play most of them with high / ultra settings, but after some minutes the GPU temperature is excessive (>90°).
I'm trying to use the tool described in this post.
But I do not understand much. Can anyone help? (sorry for my English)

That tool is very old, and I don't think is updated for newer models like ours.

Anyway, your GPU temperature is very strange, mine never goes past 62C (and so does the one of a friend of mine), in my case the cpu is way hotter (85+C)

The Maxwell version of this laptop runs a lot cooler for both the GPU and GPU than the Kepler version since the heatpipes on the heatsink for laptop travels from and through both the CPU and GPU to the exhaust fan.

I've got the Maxwell version of this laptop also in which I've changed the thermal paste and have a laptop cooler, CPU does not exceed 85 degrees celcius regardless of game or application.

You can actually control how fans behave according to temperature with an advanced menu unlocked modded BIOS too but it's very risky to change anything in the BIOS's advanced menu unless you know for certain what you are doing.
