I know we've talked about it a little bit, but has anyone actually seen or had the chance to use the Travelmate 3204? Anything? Anyone?

I have a few issues with my 3204:

    1) The Acer website shows the 3204 as having 1x 512MB with the user accessable slot open. Mine came with 2x 256MB sticks which is a pain since the 2nd slot is located under the touchpad instead of the keyboard. Forget about upgrading to 2x 512MB or 2x 1GB unless you don't mind voiding your warranty.

    2) The HDD is only 4200rpm. IMO 5400rpm drives should be standard unless its an ultra-portable.

    3) The LCD is only XGA. Its good enough for me but it would have been nice to choose SXGA.

    4) The keyboard is crap. The left side is directly above the heatpipe/fan and it rattles as I type.

I moved to the 3204 from a 2012 and the 2012 was much more solid feeling. Why did I switch systems? The 3204 is a couple lbs lighter and a tad smaller so I tend to use it a lot more than the 2012. The size and weight of the 2012 prohibited me from carrying it to meetings and using it while travelling but I have no such qualms with the 3204.
