    Hi,

Has anyone took advantage of Buy.com's deal on the Acer Aspire 5672 WLMi? Its currently going for $999 + tax. Im thinking of taking this deal but I have a few questions:

    1) Whats buy.com like to err, buy from? :p
    2) Are these new units or reconditioned units... it doesnt say in the description.

Mine came this morning via FedEx from Buy.com. I have spent more there than I care to admit and have always been pleased. Their rebates seem to be much quicker than Tiger Direct and still no tax in IL.

I'm considering the same laptop from Buy.com and I'd absolutely be willing to buy from them. I've been a customer of theirs for a few months and I've been very satisfied so far. They ship orders pretty quickly, they process returns quickly, and their prices are good. Buy.com is always the second store I check out after Amazon.com. As far as I know, all their items are new.

My only complaint is that they don't offer free shipping on all their products, but then again, I've been spoiled by Amazon Prime. Oh, and they charge sales tax in California, but that's not really their fault.

If the $999 deal isn't good enough, you might be interested in the following (just skip the small text if you're not interested):

If you're a new customer, you can use this $15 off coupon.

You can also apply for the Buy.com Visa card, which gets you $30 off immediately, 3% Buy.com rewards (~$30 reward with a $1000 purchase), and a 1-year warranty extension through Visa's Warranty Manager service.

Lastly, you can sign up at Fatwallet.com and then click through from their cashback program to Buy.com for an additional 2% + $5 cash back.

If you go through all the trouble and use those offers, you'd end up saving about $100 and getting an additional year of warranty/replacement service through Visa.
