My sister fell down the stairs and broke her laptops screen hinge (i think). The laptop runs fine and you can hear the windows 7 bootup sound (and the sound that comes when the wrong password is entered), . The screen itself isnt broken or cracked but on one of the hinges the plastic seems bent so probably a wire came off or something.

Does anyone know of any places (preferably in manchester) that fixes such issues? Its a old and cheap acer aspire, if thats important.

The only one extensively advertised seems PC World with its tech guys, but i have an innate dislike towards everything PC World. Still, i am willing to overlook it this one time. Anyone with any personal experience?

EDIT: here are pics to show the extent of the damage

The laptop has 2 hinges on left and right. This is the left one which is a pure black plastic strip

This is the right one which has a crack halfwar through. Although you cant see it, the gap is actually there on the left one also but its meant to be there. At that point 2 bits of plastic are meant to come together, but on the left one its a lot larger
