The six-cell 4000mah battery that came with my Extensa 5620 is quickly going dead. It's three years old, so that's to be expected.
Used to hold a charge for about 2.5-3 hours, now it barely makes it for an hour.
So, there are a LOT of cheap replacements on Amazon and eBay. The most common brand is "AGPTEK". Price is about 60% less than what Acer was charging a while back (and it's hard to find the original Acer battery for this model).
Has anyone tried these batteries? Any good or bad stories to share?
Thanks!

In answer to my own question, I bought a $25 replacement battery for the "Grape 32" that originally came with my Acer Extensa 5620.
It's one of the many no-name batteries sold on eBay and Amazon, and is supposed to be an exact replacement (11.1v, 4400mah).
I picked what I THINK may be one of the more reputable online dealers (based in the USA). Supposedly has a three-year warranty (hah..we will see about that!)
Got it in the mail today. Popped out the old batter, put this one in, fired up the lappy. It shows about a 75% charge and Windows 7 tells me it will last for an hour and a half. Sounds about what I would get on the original battery if it was charged 75%. I would get 2 to 2.5 on a full charge. Will charge it up tonight and see what I get tomorrow.
Anyway, I'll use it for a few weeks and give another report later, in case anyone is interested.
Anyoned tried the cheap AGPTEK replacement batteries?
