Does anyone know were I can find the dual core version of the 1410? Because all the ones that I find now are ones with the single core 1.3GHz Intel Celeron 743 Processor. I think dual core ones are called su2300s. And how much difference would I notice between the single core and the dual cores because i'm really liking this laptop for college and this is the only thing holding me back to buying it.

Every online store I've checked here in the US lists the SU2300 version of the 1410 as discontinued or customer service of the store has told me. You'll probably have to wait until Acer releases the SU2300 Aspire 752.

The 1410's have been out of stock everywhere for a couple of weeks. Only single core 752's have shown up at US retailers. The SU2300's haven't arrived yet. It should not be that much longer and the dual core is worth the wait.

so they aren't discontinuing the su2300 processor are they? cause i can wait until the end of the summer if i have to and i really really like the 1410. it is perfect for what i need in college if it has the su2300

The 752's show SU2300 models. If Acer ever gets its new units to the US, I think we will see these too. Maybe in a white option too.

when do you think the new units will arrive in the US and will they be spected the same and cost the same as the 1410s with the su2300s?

The Travelmate version of the 1830 (Travelmate 8172) is listed on Provantage webiste. It is an 11.6" refresh of the 1810T with an I3UM processor. It is listed to sell for $622 USD. The old 1410T-2920 was priced in the $450 range. I would assume that the new one will be in the $400-450 range but that's a guess.
The 752 was launched in Japan on April 21 and the SU2300 version was released at the end of the month. There is currently no release date for the US market but I can't imagine that Acer will let this hot selling ultraportable stay away for too long. I would think that we should see the new models in conjunction with a release of all the new timelines in the next month or so.

I was also looking for a dual core 1400 awhile ago, but couldn't find one at a good price. Ended up getting a Gateway EC1454u with the SU2300. They're essentially the as1410, but rebranded. I love mine, and actually like the looks of the gateway more. (I have a carbon fiber vinyl on the lid now)

My dual core 1410 is great. I put in 4GB of memory and may replace the hard disk with the Hatchi 7200rpm 500GB HD. Don't need that much hard disk but like the computer so much I can't resist feeding it anything it wants.

alright well i'm my dad says he wants to buy this in the next couple of days so waiting for the new 752 isn't gonna happen, but he said he's now willing to spend about 550. so what do you guys think of this instead of this one: Acer Ferrari One

If you're willing to go with AMD then go with the Thinkpad x100e. But for $550 you can get an 1810tz/Asus ul20a, much more battery life than any AMD computer.
Unless you want to game that is, then think about getting a gaming netbook (something with Ion). -
yeah i'm not trying to do any gaming cause this is mainly for taking to class and i also did just find a 1410 with a su2300 but it 450: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?omid=103&ref=froogle&utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=GWEC1454U&sku=GWEC1454U
or do you guys think the asus is worth the extra 90 dollars? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/654922-REG/ASUS_UL20A_A1_UL20A_A1_12_1_Notebook_Computer.html#reviews -
There are trade offs. It'll last about 5-6 hours on it's battery, it has a nice aluminum lid, and a better spaced keyboard imo. It's missing HDMI and has a smaller battery than the 1810tz.

Do you have a Bing cash back account? I would look to see if the Gateway is available with BC from the same retailer. That's how I got mine for $385.
Never owned a UL20. I like my 1410T. Can't be much help there.
