I suspected a thermal table issue with my Aspire 7100 series.

Downloaded the new Bios but it reports that "Part ID of System Bios and new Image File are different" when I go to update.

Thought I had better inform Acer of this before I went ahead and updated/killed my laptop.
Acer did not want to know and turned it round saying 'We do not support Bios upgrades'. They totally refused to comment.

Has anyone suffered from an Acer sabotage?

Why would they not support BIOS upgrades, especially when they release the software need to do so in the first place? Thats messed up.
