I picked this up at OM today for $600.

    1) Anyone know about this series?

    2) Can this be downgraded to XP?

    3) Can this be dual boot between the 64bit Vista and XP? if so How?

the 6930 series, which i'm guessing is like the 6920, has either the new 4500 intel on board card, or nvidia graphics card. The 6930-6455 has the 4500 one.

Wow, Picked up my 6930 other day, Still $599 at office max. Fast, even with vista 64 on it. Great pix on screen, audio a little bit low, but I use ear phones anyway.
Took a while to unload all the junk. I was going to change to xp, but I think I'll try and make it dual boot.
Now to buy a game to try out on it.

I just got one and am very impressed
however the media touch pad does not work -- out of the box -- the led's are on but nothing happens if I touch them -- no volume change, no turning wireless on or off etc
following some instructions i looked at the synaptics driver -- there is no mediatouch icon or section there -- no lux pad as some describe. tried to restore that driver and no luck
    any suggestions?

pics would be nice :D, maybe ill buy the version with the 9600gs on newegg.com

started at 799.99 then upped to 899.99, now its 899.99 with $50 discount.
seems nice, but I would like to see real consumer pictures :D not the ones of newegg

As of today the, 6930-6550 w/9600GS is $849 - $50 coupon (EMCBBBEAF) = $799 w/free shipping at NewEgg. And the one at OM is $749 right now (comes out to $800+ w/tax), and the NewEgg version has a 9600GS 512MB video card and 320GB HD. Kind of a no-brainer which one to get...

Good morning, I'm shopping for this notebook and have found that Staples in the Tampa Bay area is offering the same $600.00 price, while supplies last. Does anyone know where I can get a docking station. I need to use a mouse and keyboard. Many thanks, jhw
