    Hello,

I am new to the forums; have been lurking for a while and finally have registered as a member.

    I have a question re: my Aspire 1410 (11.6 in., Core2Solo model).

I purchased the laptop with Windows Vista installed, and at a time when Acer was giving a Windows 7 Upgrade kit. I received the upgrade kit, and did a clean install of Windows 7.

After doing a clean install of Windows 7, I inserted the "Acer Upgrade DVD." One of the drivers/applications which it gave me the option to install included something called "IO Arcade Patch."

Does anyone know what the "IO Arcade Patch" is and what it does? Is it necessary to install for performance and functionality?

Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
