    Aspire 1640z won't boot cd

    Hi, I have a problem with my 1640.
    It won't boot from the cd. It doesn't even try to load the cd, i have tried different cd's. The cd's loads properly on my acer extensa. I also tried to install a new dvd-drive. It just displays "No operating system found"
    It's not a HDD failure, cause i recieved data from the disk by inserting it in a eksternal HDD case.
    So bottom line is, i can't boot from my cd!

    (and yes, the cd/dvd-drive is set as first boot-device and i have tried the multiboot menu F12)

    Help! Please... :(
