    Aspire 1694 wireless replacement?

    After months of suffering connection loss and speed drops with the Intel BG2200 wireless card fitted as standard in the 1694 "Centrino" (isn't this name supposed to give you confidence that you are buying a fully integrated high quality Laptop?) I have decided that enough is enough and want to replace the mini PCI card with one that actualy works as intended. Yes I have installed the latest drivers from Intels web site and tried both the proset and Windows software, but still have problems :(

    Anyway, which card can you suggest? I am leaning towards the Atheros 5006 card but still open to comments. Anyone know if this card is compatible with the 1694? A card that would also incorporate Bluetooth would also be of interest :)

    Just one other question, I will be visiting the UK shortly which will be my best oportunity for getting the replacement card, can anyone suggest a good retailer that stocks the Atheros or other cards.

    I picked up an Atheros 5006SX or XS or whatever it is for my Ferrari 4005... overall much better than the one that came with...
