Just ordered a Aspire1694 with x700 graphic card which seem quite rare. I first heard of this here on notebookreview that someone saw it on acers norwegian site http://www.acer.no/acereuro/page4.do?dau22.oid=7942&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=12&ctx1=NO&crc=501221098
So, as im living in Sweden and here they only sell 1694 with x600 i called acer and asked if there is any chance of getting the one with x700, well she said "you have to order it from norway, and then send it in to change the keyboard layout from norwegian to swedish, and it will take some time and probably cost you quite a lot".
So I thought f*** it i´ll just get the x600. But to my surprise at the end of the day I accidently stumbled across a dealer in sweden selling the x700 and the good part IT ONLY COST 3SEK MORE, THATS 50 EURO CENT!!!! HALF A F***ING EURO!!! I couldn´t believe so I called them up , and the guy in the shop said well, we buy our acers from norway.
Can you believe that on the same site they offer 1694 with X600 and X700 for just 50 cent more!!!! I just hope there is nothing fishy going on, im picking it up in 2-3 days so ill come back and post here.
Happy hunting!!

Meaker,
Off course I want to, just want to get it first, before the shop gets run down by people and the shop figures out they are loosing out on some cash.
As soon as I have it in my hands I will post all info about it -

In China, I heard that 64M X700 is 64bit version.
From your page of Noway, it is indeed 64M.....
Just a reminder []
-
e-ghost look again at that norwegian link, there are 4 specs, 2 1692 and 2 1694 one with 64, the other with 128.
The one I ordered is x700/128. But then again i wont believe it until i have it in my hands.
Edit: Just read that other post, hmm, just hope the 64-bit is just for the 64mb not the 128mb -
Ok. I'm glad I can remind you before you got it. That makes you will more bargaining power if something come up! Good luck to you! [

Offcourse this is completely hypothetical and maybe not relevant until i find out if its 64-bit or 128-bit,
Which is better: X600128mb 128-bit or X700128mb 64-bit??? -
Ok i got it, and its X700128mb so far all good! Havnt had time to check the 64/128-bit issue yet. Firstly I wanna format and install XP Pro on it and after all drivers and stuff is in i´ll get around to some benchmarks.
Here is link to where i bought it (at the moment no more in stock)
http://www.itservice.se/dialectit/index.jsp?showArticle=175614&refId=1
Same but different productnumber:
http://www.itservice.se/dialectit/index.jsp?showArticle=175614&refId=1
15857:- translates to 1737 incl VAT (in sweden 25%) and wothout VAT 12686:- which is 1389 using currency rate 9,13SEK/
Here is the normal 1694WLMi with the X600 from same shop:
http://www.itservice.se/dialectit/index.jsp?showArticle=175614&refId=1
it has had a small price drop and is now priced at 15.656:- = 1714 inkl 25% VAT
Now looking at Acers productnumber for this laptop:
LX.A6605.063
and doing a quick google on this I get the following hits, where it can be bought in Sweden
http://www.hattelco.se/ps.asp?searchstr=acer%20XP
http://www.westium.com/datorer/barbart/acer.htm
http://ekdahls.emsbutiken.se/_/pricelist/default.asp?sType=html
So Swedes interested in the 1694WLMi should definitely get the X700 one
