    Hello @ll,

because I'am searching for performance for my Lap I've checked the CPU and memory configurations via CPU-Z 1.29 and SISOFT SANDRA 2005.

The CPU clock is running with 4x133 MHz (533 MHz). That's ok.

Memory is runing with 106 MHz. ?? What is going on here?

Memory details: DDR 333 (PC 2700); they should run with 2x166 MHz (333 MHz).

Where are the lost 66 MHz? Is this INTEL 915P unable to support FSB133 with PC2700 in correct way? Or is there somthing I don't understand?

    Any comment?

Hmmm ... no one who has recognized the same problem? Or will no one see this .. because it's an Acer. [ :(!]

I've tested with some other tools too. The same result. The DDR333 (PC2700; FSB 166) is running as DDR200 (PC1700, FSB100). Up today I don't get an answer from Acer. I'll hope this is a simple BIOS programming fault. In this case it should be repairable via BIOS update.

When I get new infos I'll report here again

Hi, shows the same with my 1801 as well. I think that CPU-Z is mis-reading as my laptop has no performance issues and the Everest diag shows it up there with all other comparable memory chips..

    CPU-Z: 106 MHz

    PCWIZARD2005: 106 MHZ (no wonder ;-))

EVEREST: 166 MHz (looks not like a value which is measured in real time)

    SISOFT SANDRA: no value (???)

Benchmarks will deliver lower performace like similar systems.

Note to CPU-Z is not answered up today.
Note to ACER is not answered up today.

Everest will show the wrong speed of hard drive, but the correct technical data (no realtime measurment?).
