Aspire 1810TZ: 16 color mode after asked for privileges / standby

Hi there. I am having trouble with my 1810tz.

I am using Win7 Premium Home x64.

Every time a program asks me for admin privileges, or the laptop goes into standby mode, the colors get scrambled. It looks like he's running in 16 color mode and it's really annoying.
Starting Trackmania, maximizing the game to fullscreen and then alt+tab'ing to desktop fixes the problem. - only until a program needs admin privs again -.-

This does not occur, if I connect the laptop to an external monitor.

The first time this occured was after I let Windows Update install the latest Intel graphics driver. I tried some older driver and currently this one is installed: 18.15.10.1855.

Does somebody know what can cause this?

Hi,

try latest driver directly from Intel. You may need to uninstall the existing driver using the "programs" applet in control panel.
