    Hello All,
I have an Acer Aspier 2010 which I am very happy with. However I can't seem to get the IR working(for connection to my Nokia 6100). , The port is there on the right hand side but there is no IR listed under device manager in system control panel, has any one else had this problem, if so any ideas on how to fix it?

    Any assistance is much appreceiated

    Rob

If you don't have any IR devices listed in your Device Manager, it's most likely because you don't have the drivers installed for it. Did you reload the OS to something else other than the one that came with the unit? If so, this could be the problem. Another issue could be that the IR port itself is defective. If this is the case, you're gonna need to get the unit repaired.
