I've had my aspire 2012wlim for a few months now and its great. The only problem is around half of the time I start it up it doesnt start up right. Windows will load and run fine except if I try to go into My Computer, or control panel or network connections it freezes up. If I use the task manager and end the "Explorer" process and the processes from Acers Launch Manager...a few times...it eventually comes to life and works fine. Does anyone else hae this problem and do you think its a Windows issue (not that it ever has any...) or an issue with the laptop?

It looks like there could be some corrupt files on your system, or you have some stuff running in the background that may be causing the problem. You may want to try killing some services, like the Acer Launch Manager (don't think it's really needed). Just make sure you know what you're killing otherwise it'll lock your system and you'll need to reboot. You may also want to check for spyware or viruses. The final step is to reload your OS from the restore cd's or from scratch. Just make sure you backup your data before going this route.
