Hi everyone. I have a problem with my screen. The brightness of the screen seems to be fluctuating by itself  . Its kinda irritating now since it happens very often. besides that, when i play games on it i.e. need for speed, the whole computer hangs and the screen goes into lines   . any suggestions?

    thx

Are you forcing any certain resolutions and/or refresh rates?

That's interesting. What is your video card and what drivers are you using? If that's an ATi card, you might want to try the latest Catalyst Mobility 5.9 drivers.

You can get them at www.DriverHeaven.net. You could also try Omega Drivers, they're modded drivers, I haven't had any problems with them. You can get both ATi and Nvidia versions.

If it's doing it when you first boot up then it sounds like a manufactures defect. Hopefully you still have a warranty on it.
