I was wondering if there was any way to set up the bluetoth button on the front of the laptop, so that it can turn on and off the bluetooth dongle?

Is this an external bluetooth adapter? If so, I don't think it'll be possible without some programming on your part. That switch is designed for the internal module, not for any external USB modules.

As far as I know, Acer uses a Bluetooth + Wireless on the same mini-pci card. If you slap one of those in there it will work.
