    Hi,
I'm thinking that I'll upgrade my 3023 to XP Pro. However, what do I need to be aware of when I do so? Presumably as long as I dowload all the drivers from the Acer website I shouldn't have any problems?

Will the formatting of the HD that can occur during install get rid of the hidden partition? Do I need the hidden partition anyway?

    Thanks

    Hello

I have the same notebook and i update too to XP Pro. Do you have not the CDs From Acer? On one CD are all Drivers there you need. ;) And no! you need the hidden partition no more, delete all partitions.

    Sorry for my English :D

If you are upgrading to XP Pro from XP home, you do not need drivers or anything else. You just perform the upgrade and it keeps all drivers and settings. The only time you will need the drivers are when you do a clean install (IE delete the original installation)
