    Hi,

As of today my Aspire 3610, that has functioned without problems so far, started producing an annoyingly high pitched sound. It seems to relate to HDD activity, but only manifests itself via the speakers. I believe therefore that it is not caused by a fan or something similar.
It is evident both with the laptop speakers, as well as when external speakers are plugged into the front connector.
It disappears when you turn down the volume to 0, suggesting it is indeed feedback via the soundcard??
Any help is appreciate to resolve this issue, as now I cannot use the sound at all (it is also evident when using media players).

    Thanks,
    Wiep Klaas Smits
