    Aspire 3640 needs drivers

    I did clean install with acer vista oem upgrade dvd instead of upgrade my recovery partition is deleted now some of hardware do not work properly. Now I need some drivers can i took them from another aspire 3640 with drivermax application. Does somebody have the same problem?

    There is no need to try to get drivers from another 3640; you can just download them from acer via their FTP. The direct link for your aspire 3640 is here

    The folder labeled "vista" contains the drivers for vista while the folder labeled "driver" contains the drivers for XP. :)

    I have already try this. The problem is that actualy i need recovery discs but these are hard to get and expensive The acer oem xp is different from standard xp. I cant even install usual xp, installation freezes, it doesn´t regognise hdd.The ansver why acer vista oem is recommended to upgrade is to get the drivers from prevous xp. thats why there isnt webcam and pointing device drivres in that url`s folder for vista but are there in folder for xp.So I have two options: the recovery cd`s or somebody who have the same serie Send me their driver backup
