    Hey all,

I have an Aspire 3680 (with a T5300 CPU I put in.) Recently, I've been having a problem I have never encountered previously. When I use the left mouse button like normal, it also scrolls down. So if I'm viewing a page, and I click the left mouse button to click on a link, it will just scroll down instead - if it's something like an image that is a link, it will get that link because it hasn't scrolled past where it can get to the link. If i just put the pointer on empty space and repeatedly hit the left button, it will just scroll down as if I were hitting the down directional button on the little 4-way pad.

This happens in Windows 7, Ubuntu, Ubuntu running off of the install CD, and I even tried it with Knoppix 6 running off of a flash drive - all had the same problem. I opened the laptop up again and turned it on, and pressed on the actual mouse button that is soldered to the motherboard just to make sure there wasn't any kind of dirt or anything in there making both buttons get pressed by the left button, but I had the same result - even pressing just that little soldered on button.

I am completely out of ideas, and I did some searching around here and on Google and have yet to find anything discussing this. Any information/fixes/suggestions would be highly appreciated, thanks for reading!
