This started relatively recently, maybe 3 weeks ago. When I play music on *any* media player, it plays for a few seconds, starts breaking up and then locks the computer. A few minutes later the "blue screen of death" comes up saying something about a physical memory dump.

You cant say I dont have enough RAM, I installed 2gb of PC5300 RAM when I first bought this in April. I took the RAM out and put back the original 512 stick that came from the factory, and it still did it. So that rules out defective RAM.

I dont know what else to do. It does this on every song I have in my library. It will play a CD ok though for the most part. If I try to multi-task it locks the computer (when I play a CD only). I cannot multi-task at all when Im playing music from the hard drive :(

Any advice or suggestions before I send this PIG back to Acer ?
