hello! can anybody help me please...

i accidentally used an arabic windows xp installer to reformat my laptop. i didn't notice it until i completed the installation. i can't understand a thing cause i can't read the arab language, so i decided to reformat it again with the correct windows xp sp2 installer (english). but i can't continue with the installation. an error always occur. it's saying that the setup cannot detect any hard drives and that i end up restarting my laptop and could not continue the reformat.

can anyone help me please? does it have something to do with the arab version of windows xp sp2? any help is much appreciated.. thank you!

you are having an error LONG before the install could FAIL due to the DISK being for an HP....

that ERROR is due to a your laptop having a SATA HARD DRIVE,, and the fact that XP doesn't have SATA drivers built into the INSTALL CD....

see the link above for INFO on how to solve the problem.
