    Hey all.

My girlfriends acer has been running unusably slow for the last 3 days. I mean half an hour to boot into windows. I've been waiting for Firefox to load for the last 10 minutes. I'm wondering if there is an issue with her hard disk? It just seems truly bizzare. It's only a month old.
Looking forward to your ideas :p

    Clean reinstall Windows 7.
Run Intel Rapid Storage manager to check for indication of disk failure.

Was hoping to avoid a fresh install, the hdd is in my desktop at the moment. there are plenty of bad sectors. I'll attempt to repair them and report back. I can confirm that it is the HDD or the windows install. That is a relief in a way I suppose.
