I have had this notebook for about a month now and it came bundled with W7 home wuss edition that I had no intention of installing. Nothing against the OS just that I will get Pro or Ultimate if I am going to install it and I prefer XP due to several programs I don't want to upgrade at this time.

Anyway, it has become apparent that Acer will not provide support for any other OS but I have still managed to find a driver for every device except for Bluetooth. Since this is my first notebook and the first time I have ever dealt with Bluetooth on a computer, I am somewhat at a loss.

First of all, the stupid yet not so obvious question. Since this supposedly came with an embedded device, there is nothing else I need to get for Bluetooth to see my cell phone, right? On the bottom of the laptop it says this device contains Bluetooth Module Foxconn BCM92046. Short of opening it up, there is no way to confirm this but this also begs the question how do I turn this on? A driver will activate it to use and a detection program asks me to turn the bluetooth device on so I remain at a loss.

    Any help would be appreciated.
