Hi! Just bought aspire 4920G with preinstalled vista home premium. Problem is it does not detect the dvd writer drive optiarc ad-7560a. I have updated the windows but still the problem exists. It shows the driver in the device manager, system properties. But when I load the NTI dvd maker or play dvd, its says no supported drive found. Hope you can help me. Thanks!

try UPDATING the NTI software,, windows has NOTHING to do with detecting the BURNER, as long as it sees the CD drive then windows is doing it's job,,
your problem lies in your burning software not recognizing the burner because it is so new... so UPDATE the burner softwre and that should solve your problems

Hi BigO! Thanks for the suggestion. I'm downloading now the updates for the NTI software. How about the Acer Arcade Deluxe? It also says no supported drive detected.
