A few months ago I was able to have Acer ship me a brand new power brick for my Aspire 5000. I did this so I can keep one at home and bring one to school so I don't end up forgetting to bring it.

Now what they sent me was the power brick which connects to the laptop. However they did not include the cord that runs from the power brick to the wall socket.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get this cord rather than getting it from eBay or contacting Acer. Maybe Best Buy or Source CC?

As you can see the cord that runs from the power brick to the wall socket is seperate, and that is what I need. (Note that that picture is not accurate, the plugs are actually 3 pronged.)

Easier solution that trying to find the cord - just call up Acer and tell them they forget to ship you all the parts for your adapter! They'll send over a cord (probably a one-size fits all deal) for your new adapter.

I can't exactly call Acer about it cause I told them that the brick was running very hot, hotter than normal. So they sent me a new one. They expected that I should use the cord that came with my laptop originally and discard the overheating power brick.
