I have been looking everywhere for a replacement battery for my Aspire 5044WLMi.
The original battery is part number BTP-AWD1 and is 11.1V 4000mAh and appears to have also been used in Aspires 3610 and 5020 to name a couple.
I have been unable to find the 11.1V version of this battery anywhere but most suppliers have one that is 14.8V.
This seems like a wide voltage variance to me - does anyone know if it would be OK to use the 14.8V version or can anyone steer me to a supplier for the 11.1V version.
thanks

Would really appreciate knowing if I can use the 14.8V battery - someone must know, please.

Thanks Marcus, but unfortunately none of the batteries you listed will fit my laptop. They are all quite long and narrow while my battery is almost square.
Interesting enough also many of them are 14.8 volts which is the voltage of the replacement I found that would fit and that is why my original question about using a 14.8V replacement for an 11.1V original battery.
Does anyone know the answer......please help. -
Hi Marcus, it is part of what Acer call the 5040 Series.
Here is a link to a page showing the battery in question (unfortunately sold out and no plan to restock)..
