    Aspire 5050 CPU upgrade

    Is it possible to upgrade a turion 2.2ghz MK-38 to a turion x2 and if so which one?

    Yes you can upgrade your turion MK-38 to a turion X2 (since some aspire 5050s come with a turion x2 TL-50). You can upgrade to any of the current turion x2s as they all use socket s1 just like your MK-38.

    The TL-56(1.8ghz) or TL-60(2.0ghz) are good choices however you could go for a faster one if you want. :)

    Thanks, I'd probably go for a 2ghz one. Do you know where it is possible to buy them in the UK brand new?
