on the laptop it says "Aspire 5102WLMi" which aspire do I even have? Im guessing
I should probly jus trust the one that says 5100 on the actul screen?

    Now Secound MAJOR PROBLEM!

When Playing games even old games like Counter-Strike 1.6 it runs at about 70fps
then within about 2 minutes it drops to 4fps UNPLAYABLE! then it will fly up again
then go right back down! What gives?

when playing movies somtimes the movies even lag!

other then that pc runs fine

I've got a clean install of XP MCE going. Ive defragged used ccleaner
    checked the disk for errors

Your first "problem" is not a problem at all. You have a aspire 5102wlmi, the reason why it says aspire 5100 on the screen is because the model is from the aspire 5100 series. The 5100 series consist of models 5101, 5102, 5103, 5104, 5105. Each one has different hardware specifications but they all use the same BIOS and motherboard. So as you can see with this you have no problem :)

As for the video problem, that as been a problem that has plagued many 5100 users in the past. Some people said cleaning out the CPU fan solved the problem, for others this didn't work. Some also said updating the drivers helped. I have never had any video problems on my 5102 (especially not any problems viewing youtube videos).
It is interesting that you don't see this problem while you were running linux, perhaps it is a windows driver problem; as I know the ATI xpress 1100 (your graphics card) has very poor openGL performance with the windows driver.

when temperatures become high your pc automatically reduce system performance.
    try the enter values manually.
i mean you must configure cpu speed on e_power management and video card speed on ati catalyst.maybe default values set for battery life and that can be reason low performance.if should it can't solve the problem you have to set cpu voltage low.rmclock gonna be help.
