    Recently purchased an Aspire 5100-5540 laptop and did the recommended 'Factory Default' backup to DVD ! No questions with what I backed up...Factory Settings,etc. However now wish to perform routine/frequent back up's to DVD and am puzzled a whole lot as to the 3 remaining type backups covered in the user material and which one I should be using.
    "User Backup Image" sounds like it is stored to the Hard Drive only and is the existing 'C' drive, drivers, data, etc. ...[if hard drive storage only then not interested in this avenue].
    Next one is the "Current System Config.", what is meant by "current system config."...does that include all the changes/customizations I have made to the programs ?..i.e. Outlook Express modifications, desktop tidying up, all My Doc's/Pictures/Music, driver downloads, etc. ? [appears that this image is the only one that is Bootable ??].
    Last one is the "Application Backup", sounds like this one is a copy of all the Pre-Installed Applications, Drivers, Acer Software, etc.----which I should already have when I did the "Factory Default" backup, correct ??

    .....just want to do a so called simple backup periodically to ensure I don't lose any of my Doc's., E-Mail, Drivers, Software downloads, massaging or enhancements that I have made, etc., etc. ...

    ~~~~Could use some assist in selecting the right backup program using the ACER E-Recovery software provided with my machine, thanks: ...Doug.
