    Aspire 5100 no beep, no sound

    Hello all, my Acer ( w Vista ) crashed (over heat I believed) , I have no back up so reinstalled with XP. Everything is working fine now except sound.
    It has no beep ( under any circumstance ), no sound at all. I checked to make sure speaker enable, no mute. Under sound properties it say no audio devices. I tried to install all Realtek drivers but no luck.
    Is my on-board die so something else I don't know.
