    Hi,

I recently decided to format my Acer Aspire 5101AWLMI laptop and do a clean install of Windows XP MCE. After booting the laptop into the Windows XP setup disk and formatting the hard drive, the laptop was half way through (around 40-50%) the OS installation setup process before randomly crashing without warning or error.

When booting the system, the laptop came up with the NTLDR error. I tried installing XP again 3 times, and the laptop crashed on all 3 occasions. Then I decided to run the Acer E-Recovery disk I made when I first got the laptop but that too crashed unexpectedly half way through the recovery setup. I have also ran the E-Recovery numerous times, all crashing during the setup stage.

Im not sure whether this is a Hardware or software problem but I hope you guys can help.

    Thanks,
    codragon.
