    Hey!

As I am, I rush into things. I like to format every pc I get to get rid of the manufacturer installed software, and to put a clean version of the OS on.

I didnt know, well didnt bother to read that acer make a hidden 9gb partition for backup, and I think I may have formatted and ridded of this.

As you will know, most computers dont come supplied with OS disks anymore, so I used my dad's comp's Home Premium vista disk, which is what my laptop is, except... now it wont activate.

I was wondering what I could do? :S

*edit* Oh, and when I try activate it, it says 'The Windows Vista Home Premium product key you typed is invalid for activation' except the key is from the underside of my laptop, Home Premium key. :S *edit*

    Thanks,
    Clarky!

Problem solved. For anyone that wants to know :

I borrowed my dad's disked, installed Home Premium, then used the activation system and automated phone number to activate. All worked out fine :D

    Thanks anyways!
