I have just upgraded my memory ... but cursor is jumping all over the page which makes it very difficult to type anything but gobblede gook. Strangely it's working at the moment :D

This happened before the upgrade when I first got my computer but I was able to regulate the "tapping speed" through control pad/mouse ... there was an option with a bouncing ball accompanied with a check box and label that said "tapping speed". If the box was unchecked then all was well but now I can't find the bouncing ball ... where has it gone?????

    I have windows vista

    wondering

enjoy the madness,, you come to understand how and why it does it after a few months... but short of diabling the TOUCHPAD and using an external mouse the best thing you can do is always move curser to bottom right of any text window you are currently typing in..... that keeps the cursor from jumping anywhere except to the end of the current last line

    hope it helps ya,

Just in case anyone else was having my problem ... have downloaded a touchpad driver which has fixed the problem ... It is Alps pointing device found at http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/fo.../au&siteid=8116&words=all&keywords=&areaid=12

another pointing device comes along with it Syn something. Only install the alps driver then go to the control panel, click on the mouse icon and then click the tab for "tapping" and uncheck the top box next to a bouncing ball ... ALL FIXED :-D !!!

Man get an external mouse :D Makes life beautiful :D
When typing, is very easy to accidentally touch the touchpad. What I hate most in laptops is the touchpad.

    PROPS for the advice...

i had to go back to a driver from the 1980's,,,
but seriously i did find an ALPS driver for an ACER 3050 for windows XP and it works great,,, and is only a 4 meg download not the 30 meg the new synaptics driver is

so thanks for encouraging me to try a driver not made for my system or my device..... it works great
