    Aspire 5315 bios upgrade

    I have been trying to upgrade the bios on my aspire 5315 from its loaded V1.19 to the lastest shown on the acer site which is V1.43,
    Now the problem occurs when I have downloaded the exe file and the insys window opens and then as it starts to validate the bios installed the window freezes and locks the whole pc showing an error window saying validate error.
    I dont seem to be able to get passed this to update.
    Please can somebody guide me passed this so I dont have to keep on rescuing the pc back from crm?

    I found the new BIOS version is 1.45 for your model, do you really need BIOS update or just want to upgrade because it is available? If everything works fine I would recommend not to upgrade, you must take care not to mess up your laptop, while you are doing the BIOS flashing you must disconnect Internet, disable or remove any AV programs(they do try updating even if you don't have Internet connection), disable any background services such as windows defender, disconnect all USB devices.
