    Hi all,

Have a fairly new Aspire 5515 and plugged an Ethernet cord into the jack... but had problems removing it no matter how hard I pressed down on the latch. Finally got it out, but ended up breaking whatever is inside the jack that keeps the cord secure.

I'm debating sending it back to Acer for warranty work since I've heard replacing an Ethernet jack usually results in a motherboard replacement and I doubt I'd ever use Ethernet more than a handful of times during the laptop's life. Other than this the laptop is flawless.

Any suggestions in quick fixes I could try myself to keep the cord secure in the jack?

    Thanks
