Help I am at my wits end with this Black Screen Problem

I broke the screen of my laptop a few months back, So i just hooked it up to my Flat Screen TV and used it that way for the last couple of months with no issues.
Anyway went on holiday and came back Monday and plugged the laptop back into flat screen as normal. Nothing no picture.
So I plugged in a VGA monitor, still nothing. So I went and bought a new screen!!!
After putting the new screen in still no picture!! Nothing on external or laptop screen....AARGGHH
I have tried taking out and changing memory, taken hard drive out, also tried to flash the bios.
    Nothing works....Please please Any ideas?

    Thanks In advance

    Is it 5536 or 5536G?

If it fails to work with an external screen as well as an internal LCD- that usually means GPU is dead and with GPU being non-MXM that means motherboard failure.
That said it's just a preliminary diagnosis.

Does it boot in the background at all?

5536 doesn't have a dedicated GPU- it uses an integrated one so if the GPU failed chipset would too (it's the same thing) so it wouldn't be booting.
Does it have a HDMI or just VGA connector- check both.
